| Environmental Process
As a requirement of the National Environment Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA), the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority completed its Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Bus Rapid Transit portion of the Euclid Corridor Transportation Project and received its Findings of No Significant Impact (FONSI) from the Federal Transit Administration on February 8, 2002.
The Environmental Assessment (EA) phase of the transportation planning process allows consideration of the design, costs and benefit of transportation alternatives while addressing the potential social, transportation, environmental, economic impacts, and transportation improvements.
UPDATE:
East Side Transit Center: GCRTA is currently waiting for a final environmental determination from the Federal Transit Administration.
